Meet Our Professors

Irina WeisblatDr. Irina Weisblat, Ed.D.

  • Holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from San Diego State University
  • Global MBA from National University, San Diego
  • BA in English from St. Petersburg University, Russia
  • At Southwestern College Dr. Weisblats teaches:
    • International Business and Marketing
    • Import-Export Management
    • Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management
  • Her college course materials and projects relate to:
    • Operational risk management
    • C-TPAT-Security and Threat Awareness Risk Awareness
    • Validation in Global Trade

Dr. Weisblat also teaches in Master’s and Doctoral Educational Leadership programs at SDSU, where she is appointed to serves on Dissertation committees for Ph.D. students.. Further, her research focuses on educational effectiveness and development of skills and competencies required for effective functioning in the global economy. Dr. Weisblat’s academic writing includes topics of student learning, sustainability, workforce and economic development. Dr. Weisblat has presented at the state, regional, and bi-national conferences.


Bernardo AndradeBernardo Andrade, MBA

Bernardo is an experienced International Business and Supply Chain professional. Holds a MBA with emphasis in Supply Chain from CETYS Universidad, a dual International Business BA from San Diego State University and CETYS Universidad, and executive education from the Logistics and Transportation Center at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He is currently the Logistics Coordinator for Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, an Escondido organic soap manufacturer. He teaches Introduction to Logistics and Transportation Management at Southwestern Community College. He also imparted Logistics and Strategy courses at CETYS Universidad, Tijuana, MX.

Bernardo is actively involved in several social and community oriented activities, entrepreneurship business groups.  Also, contributes with a weekly editorial in at a local talk radio show since 2001.
